Paul Steinhardt is a world-renowned scientist with a particular interest in the origin of the universe. His book, "Endless Universe," presents a new idea of how existence as we know it came to be. Steinhardt contends that the Big Bang was not the beginning of time, but just one piece of a larger series of collisions between worlds that would continually produce new matter, galaxies and stars.
