But when he arrives at NorBAC he's confronted with a rally lead by a fanatical Reverend who claims that Christ can be genetically resurrected from a Crucifixion nail. The Reverend wants David to prove it, but David's not into playing God. In the frenzy, shots are fired and someone gets hit.

    Prions
Science Channel Premiere: Sunday, December 4 at 10PM e/p
NorBAC investigates an outbreak of brain wasting prion disease in humans. The victims are spread out across North America. The most surprising is a 5 year old girl, since the disease normally takes 7 years to show. How are the cases connected? In the aftermath of Hiras's death, David holds the Reverend responsible and is determined to expose him. David suspects his old friend Danny Dexter a major league hockey player, has actually undergone a process to have himself genetically modified.

    The Oldest Virus
As the search continues for the source of the deadly prions, NorBAC zeros in on a large agribusiness they suspect of selling infected chickens. David tries to convince Danny to stop gene therapy. Caroline insists that David interview Jill Langston for the vacated virologist position at NorBAC. His reluctance turns to lust when he meets her.

    The Trials
NorBAC reviews an experimental treatment being used on children with Leukemia. Just as they are about to declare the cancer therapy safe, another child dies. David disregards the proper channels and goes to Nunavut to get a sample of what he believes is the Spanish Flu virus from a frozen corpse. Mick and Lilith decide to go whale-watching in Quebec, but Lilith begins to realize just how sick he is.

    Faint Hope
Carlos Serrano a Senior Researcher at NorBAC wants to use cutting edge research on a friend dying of AIDS. He supplies a Houston lab with contraband stem cells in order for his friend to be part of the human trials. In the experimental leukemia treatments, another child dies, and David is determined to find out why the cancer treatment isn't working.

    Blackout
A major power blackout on the Eastern Seaboard leads to fears that this might be a terrorist act. NorBAC determines that a plastic eating bacterium caused the blackout and they must stop it before more blackouts occur. David and his ex help Lilith deal with Mick's death. Caroline is worried about the possibility of having breast cancer. Bob Melnikov , NorBAC's Biochemist tells David he has been approached with another job offer.

    The Secret War
NorBAC's bioinformatics specialist, is working a case of civilians who have returned from working in Iraq for the military, exhibiting a wide range of mysterious illnesses. Carlos and David investigate multiple cases of hemophilia in a small community in Mexico. It is tied to a large multi-national laboratory who is working on GMOs. Jill must defend her reputation as a top virologist when a research paper she published is refuted.

    The Source
In the continued investigation of the "Iraq War Syndrome", David checks out a theory that a cutting edge water purification system maybe the culprit. In Mexico, David and Carlos explore the possibility that mosquitoes bred to eliminate malaria might be responsible for the hemophilia epidemic. Bob is lured away from NorBAC to join a lab that allows him to pursue his love of perfume creation. Caroline receives the diagnosis she's been waiting for.

    The Promise
NorBAC has been taken over by a joint command to deal with a catastrophic smallpox scenario. Bob is determined to create a therapy for his dog that is suffering from histiocytosis. Jill comes clean with David about taking medication for her panic attacks. David discovers that the "Miranda Virus" outbreak may have been linked to the U.S. government's secret bio-chemical lab and that whoever manufactured "Miranda" may possess another, even more lethal, biological weapon.

    Resurrection
David and Jill make a trip to Colorado where a rampant SARS-like outbreak is occurring. David is in shock when he discovers that the outbreak is Spanish Flu, a virus not seen since 1918 except when David dug it up in Nunavut. Racked with guilt, he inadvertently walks into the path of a car and is sent to hospital in a coma. Mayko Tran heads to Colorado to try to find Patient Zero in the Denver outbreak.

    The Longest Night
David recovers consciousness, and leaves the hospital determined to admit his guilt and find a vaccine before the Spanish Flu outbreak becomes a pandemic. Jill can't forgive David for lying to her. David is finally able to determine that the flu outbreak started with a migrating hawk which fed on the remains of the corpse in Nunavut. But how did this happen? David knows he properly buried the body. An unexpected link takes the team back to the Miranda virus and the man who's behind the atrocity.
