Dr. Daniel Kammen

Dr. Daniel M. Kammen is a professor at the University of California at Berkeley, where he holds appointments in the Energy and Resources Group, Goldman School of Public Policy and Department of Nuclear Engineering.

He is also the founding director of the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory. Dr. Kammen advises the U.S. and Swedish Agencies for International Development, World Bank, President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and African Academy of Sciences.

He is a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and was a lead author of the IPCC's "Special Report on Technology Transfer."  In addition, Dr. Kammen serves on the technical review board for the Global Environment Facility.
