3 Ways to Create a Fire from Scratch

Starting a fire from scratch is just the kind of challenge that DIYers look forward to. Using matches, lighters and fuel—well, that's just cheating.

There are a number of ways to go about starting a fire when you're without flint or tinder, and some of the methods are more difficult than others.
