Meet the InvestigatorsBased out of Brooklyn, NY, Paranormal Investigation of NYC is lead by Dom Villella, whose love of science brings these spooky investigations to a different level. Instead of using science to locate ghosts, his tools often reveal why people think they've seen ghosts. Sometimes too many positive ions in the air are the culprit—and sometimes who you gonna call is more likely an electrician than a ghostbuster. Dom talks about what goes into ghost hunting here:
That's not to say Dom hasn't seen his share of the strange and bizarre. The following two clips were from previous investigations: one is a shadow that no one could explain, and was only seen on video later on.
The other was an investigation at the Ed Sullivan Theater, home to the Late Show with David Letterman. What these mysterious red orbs are have yet to be determined.
Finally, and probably most eerie, is this audio clip taken from an investigation at the abandoned Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, Penn. Long believed to be haunted, Dom and his crew went in the hopes of finding evidence of paranormal activity. What they got was an audio recording of a whispering voice, saying, "My house, my home." Was this a prisoner? Someone who lived on the site before it became a penitentiary? No one knows for sure. Put on your headphones and listen here. |
