Human Car

The HumanCar FM-1 was developed to test teamwork training concepts. Many hundreds of teams have had their performance measured, with the highest reading reaching 1,500 watts, or more than 2 horsepower, running through the "human engine/transaxle" into a specialized dynamometer. It also offers thrilling downhill sports capabilities in excess of 100 kilometers per hour. Basically, it is a party on wheels.

More advanced "human/hybrid" vehicles, which take advantage of the sophisticated handling, steering and suspension concepts of the FM-1, are now under construction. Additionally, the analysis tools used to develop the HumanCar are being applied to other unusual vehicles and even to unusual structures such as treehouses and straw bale houses.
