MTT Retro Rocket

MTT Retro Rocket

Type: MTT has incorporated a turbine engine into a 1995 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck and dubbed it the "MTT Retro Rocket."

Engine: The truck is powered by a Rolls Royce Allison gas turbine model T-63 A-700 engine, generating approximately 320 horsepower at the shaft and coupled to a TH (turbo hydromatic) 350 automatic transmission. With a superior power-to-weight ratio and maximum efficiency over traditional reciprocating engines, turbines are among the most sustainable internal combustion engines used today.

Performance: The truck contains a 75-gallon fuel tank in the bed of the truck for extended range, making it capable of traveling over 400 miles before refueling. Although fuel economy is approximately only 8 miles per gallon, the ability of the turbine to run on various fuels, including diesel and bio-fuels, makes it somewhat practical.

Features: The truck is equipped with A/C, power steering, power brakes, electric windows and 17-inch after-market wheels. The front end is a modified 1940 Ford replica. The Retro-Rocket has a custom paint job and has been lowered 4 inches.
