Seimens We Can Change the World Challenge
- Launched in 2008, the Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge is the first and only national K-12 sustainability education initiative aligned to state education standards.
- Created in partnership with the Siemens Foundation and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), the program is designed to educate, empower and engage students in sustainability with science as the backbone.
- The inaugural grand prize winning team presented its project at the United Nations, which is partnering on the Challenge to support sustainability in education on a global level.
- The initiative expanded to elementary schools in 2009 and launches in high schools in 2010.
STEM Academy
- Launching January 1, 2010, the Siemens Foundation and Discovery Education will partner to create a national STEM education program for teachers.

Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge
- Since 1999, The Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge has been the premier science competition for Middle School students in the United States.
