Marsh Youngbluth Dr. Marsh Youngbluth received his Master's degree in Zoology in 1966 from the University of Hawaii, and his Ph.D. in Biology in 1972 from Stanford University. He is a Senior Scientist with the Division of Marine Science at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution.

Larry Madin Larry Madin is a Senior Scientist in the Biology Department at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) in Woods Hole, MA. He received his AB degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his PhD from UC Davis, and has been at WHOI since 1974.

Edith A. Widder Edie Widder received her Ph.D. in neurobiology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1982. She joined Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution in 1989 where she is now senior scientist and director of the Bioluminescence Department. She also holds adjunct appointments at Johns Hopkins University, Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, Florida Atlantic University and Florida Institute of Technology.

Doug Bartlett Doug Bartlett is a professor at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois in Molecular Biology.

Charles Fisher Charles Fisher is a Professor of Biology and Assistant Department Head For Graduate Affairs at Penn State University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1985.

Miriam Kastner Miriam Kastner received a Ph.D. at Harvard University and is now a professor of Geology at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. She has participated in about 20 ocean expeditions, and was chief scientist on four of them. She has published over 135 papers in referred journals.

Peter Edmunds Peter Edmunds received his Ph.D. from Glasgow University. As a professor , his research focuses on tropical reef corals and the physiological ecology of marine invertebrates, with particular emphasis on the unique atributes of clonal life histories.
