Saturn Orbit Insertion: July 1, 2004

The Cassini-Huygens spacecraft fires its main engine to reduce its speed, allowing the spacecraft to be captured by Saturn's gravity and enter orbit. The success of the tricky maneuver marks the beginning of the spacecraft's four-year tour of the ringed planet and its moons, rings and magnetosphere.
