Be on the Science Channel!

If you've ever committed a senseless act of science, we want video of it. If you're lucky (or unlucky as the case may be), your video may appear in the Science Channel's upcoming show, Brink.

Brink's producers are looking for homemade science videos to put on the air. The videos should be in one of there categories:

Geek Out - If you've figured out a new way to do something we want to hear about it. Let us know how your enormous brain has gotten around technology, or pioneered new work in particle physics.

Rant - Ticked off about technology? Unload on us. Turn the camera on and vent about all the ways the stuff that's supposed to make your life easier REALLY makes things tougher.

Ask a Scientist - You've got questions - we've got answers. What have you always wanted to a scientist to explain to you?

If you are interested in sending in your videos and being part of Brink and the Science Channel, please send a copy on DVD, miniDV or VHS to:

Be sure your submission also includes all your valid contact info. The usual stuff: name, address, phone number and e-mail address.

By sending in video you are agreeing to these terms:
LICENSE, RELEASE and WAIVER ('RELEASE')

For good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency and receipt of which are hereby acknowledged, I authorize DISCOVERY COMMUNICATIONS and it's parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, successors, assigns, and content providers (collectively, DCL), to make use of the images, video, and/or any other materials submitted hereunder, as well as my name, voice, likeness, and appearance therein, together with the personally identifying information I may provide on the connection therewith (collectively, Video Submission), as further described below.

DCL's Right to Use My Video Submission. I grant DCL the right to edit my Video Submission in any manner, and to use and license others to use my Video Submission, or any portions, reproductions or versions thereof in any and all media, now known or hereafter invented (including, without limitation, television, home video/dvd, merchandising, online and mobile services), in any manner, an unlimited number of times, in perpetuity, throughout the world, with or without charge or cost to end users or other third parties. I also grant DCL the right to use and license others to use my Video Submission for promotion, publicity and/or marketing of DCL or in any other manner as determined by DCL.

Clearance of My Video Submission for DCL's Use.

I represent and warrant that my Video Submission is my original work and that I have secured any and all rights, releases and permissions necessary for DCL's use of the Video Submission hereunder, including without limitation those related to any people, places, music, performances of dance or music, video, photographs, graphics and/or other elements in my Video Submission (collectively, 'Elements'). I represent and warrant that no further permissions or fees are due for DCL's use of my Video Submission or any Elements therein. I further represent and warrant that any statements made by me or others in the Video Submission are true to the best of my knowledge and that neither they, nor any Element of the Video Submission, will violate any law or regulation violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party.

Waiver of Right of Approval. I hereby waive any right of inspection or approval of my Video Submission as used by DCL, including without limitation any approval of my appearance and/or use of my name therewith or the uses to which they may be put. Release and Waiver; Indemnification.

I acknowledge that DCL will rely on this Release, potentially at substantial cost to it, and I hereby waive the right to assert any claim of any nature whatsoever against any party relating to the exercise of the rights and permissions granted hereunder. I agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless DCI from any and all claims arising from its use of my Video Submission as permitted hereunder.
